On July 2nd the Yeoman Bontrup tanker caught fire while loading aggregate material at the Glensanda Superquarry in the Scottish West Highlands, near the Isle of Lismore. (above)
The quarry, which is 7 miles from the nearest road is one of the largest and most remote in the whole of Europe, and everything arrives and leaves by sea. Now the tanker resides at the port of Ijmuiden where yesterday I saw it being partly dismantled and rebuilt. (top)
