After some nervous weeks of anticipation, a fantastic company called Water Weights have agreed to sponsor my forthcoming show in Southend, and furnished me with two two-tonne bags that now hang from the rafters in the gallery.  Jon, Curator at CoExist, went beyond the call of duty and gingerly climbed to the top of a very high ladder to tether the shackle to the beam exactly 7.6m above the ground.  I just stood helplessly at the bottom of the ladder attempting to offer moral support (and ballast).

The top picture is one I swiped from the web sometime more than two years ago - before I kept track of where I borrowed things from...there are many pictures like this to be found on a routine search; much hard-hatted posing, thumbs up, big grins...

Yesterday I found myself in Liberty on Regent Street where the mannequins have all been decorated with frog-helmets.  In my efforts to avoid detection I forgot to switch from black and white, and seemingly forgot also to focus, but it is a frog, I promise.
