The last day of summer
My time in Amsterdam has one month left to run.
I moved three new drawings, in various states of completion, from the studio to the 'other' room
in search for the spark that might push them forward. I threw things away, swept, hoovered, pulled the curtains wide. September still marks its presence with the feelings of returning to school, of returning to work, of returning to routine. Not yet. But the dust-free tidiness brought focus again...
On a different note (and though it feels like tossing a stone into the sea,) there will be an (informal) presentation of the work I have made here on the evening of September 24th. It's a Friday. Come for home cooked delights, mid-price wine, and (obviously) great art.
